Doug Boan, the owner of Yuba River Swimming Holes, set out over 15 years ago to create swimming holes and pools unlike any other.  Being an avid hiker, mountain biker, dirt bike rider, and outdoor enthusiast, he was Inspired by California's remarkable beauty and unsurpassed rivers (his favorite the Yuba).  With his construction background, he knew there was a way to bring that feeling home.  His vision was to create not just backyard swimming pools, but waterscapes, that make you feel as if you are actually swimming at the river.   

 

We feel the process of building a swimming hole is personal and unique.  At Yuba River Swimming Holes and Pools, we believe it should be a collaboration with the homeowners, with their vision steering the project.  We always put customers' needs first; your vision, yard/space, time frame as well as budget.  There are no hidden costs or surprise bills.  Our goal is always to exceed your expectations. Over the years our reputation as quality pool builders has grown, however, we remain an owner/operator custom business that does all in-house work.  We do not use subcontractors and have had the same amazing crew since the beginning.  Over the years Doug and Sam Pena, Yuba Rivers foremen, have built an experienced team of professional artisans.  Their dedication to their craft is unmatched and it shows with each swimming hole created.
